Jordan and Amy have a combined party
22 November 2008
Jordan and Amy had their combined birthday party at Kid-e-up party venue. The theme was Barbie and Ben 10 and the kids had so much fun. In addition to the jumping castle, jungle gyms, trampoline etc, we had pony rides. Jordan's favourite. We were blessed with great weather and the party was a big success. All Jordies closest friends were there so he really had fun. Never managed to get a group photo but his closest friends right now are Amy, Ryce, Michael, Anthony, Thomas, Mohale and Leya.

Great excitement for Jordan when he had to take cake and party packs to school to celebrate his birthday.

Halloween
October 2008
Both the boys celebrated Halloween for the first time. We have met a really great couple in our neighbourhood who also have two boys - and they insisted that we meet up with them and other kids in Parkmore to go "trick or treating". We invited Jared and Olivia to come with us and had so much fun dressing up. The boys were so excited! Jodi, who organised everything, made sure the houses we approached had lots of sweets. The kids had to shout "trick or treat" at the top of their voices before the goodies arrived. What a noise!

Beach Holiday - Umslanga
October 2008

Sticking to our normal tradition, I took the boys down to the coast during the school mid term break which overlaps with Brendan's birthday. We stayed in a self catering apartment on the beach front - so we never had to get in our car. Absolute bliss.... The holiday resort also had a huge big swimming pool, so after our morning at the beach, we would go for a swim and a bite to eat at the pool area. Warwick and Hayley were at the same resort, so we spent lots of time with them. The kids had a blast!
Jordan had lots of fun jumping the waves with Gran
Brendan, as usual, spent most of his day in the sea. He has endless energy.
We went for long walks on the beach in the afternoons. Very special times.

Hannah and Jordan spent most of their time playing in the sand.
Rhys and Brendan playing in the waves
Every morning, I built a big pool for the kids to play in
The boys love their Gran and spent lots of time with her trying to catch fish. The hard work eventually paid off!
Brendan's 7th Birthday

My little boy turned 7 on the 19th October. Can't believe how grown up he has become - so confident and independent - well most of the time. He wanted his party at home again, so we decided on a cricket party in the garden and we decided to have a combined party with his friend Steven from school. In addition to the cricket, they played soccer, swam and had a tug of war. We also had a big jumping castle, so everyone was very busy. Jordan and I were both a bit sick, but the morning was enjoyed by everyone else and was lots of fun.
